# What is a URL?

URL stands for “Uniform Resource Locator” and is the global address of a web page, a document or another resource on the World Wide Web.

A **URL** is a web address such as [https://example.com](https://example.com/)

In the context of the Delivr service, we most commonly refer to a Campaign Short URL or Short URL, Destination URL, and Application URL.
